At 3:40 PM Friday,  Yarmouth Police and Yarmouth Fire Rescue units responded to a personal injury accident near White's Path and Station Avenue in South Yarmouth.

Judging from the position of the wrecked cars, a silver Nissan Sentra apparently exiting the Mobil station on Station Avenue was struck broadside on the drivers side door by a black Toyota Rav 4 who was traveling south bound on Station Avenue. The female driver of the Nissan Sentra was removed from the vehicle by Fire Rescue personnel using the Jaws of Life.

The only reported injured victim in the accident was a woman who was the driver of the Sentra. Rescue immobilized her back board to prevent further injury and then transported to Cape Cod hospital. The extent of her injuries are unknown but they are not believed to be life threatening.

The accident remains under investigation by Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Bradley Donahue. YFD Rescue removes crash victim
