On Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 11:00AM and 5:00PM—the Yarmouth Police Department will host a community blood drive in recognition of National Police Memorial Day.

This special blood drive is being conducted at Yarmouth Police Headquarters in recognition of the 145 Police Officers killed in the line of duty last year with the support and assistance of the C-Lab Donor Center at Cape Cod Hospital. Blood is needed each and every day to save lives in every community.

Blood collected in this blood drive will stay on Cape Cod and is used to treat people here. Any person over 17 in good health and weighing at least 110 pounds can become a blood donor.  There is no upper age limit.  The entire process of donating blood takes about 45 minutes.

After donating—you can relax and enjoy free refreshments before resuming normal activities. In order to help make the process as efficient as possible—all donors are asked to make an appointment by calling 508-862-5273.
