VIDEO- Man Seriously Injured from Knife Wound

HYANNIS- Wednesday- At approximately 6:00pm multiple Barnstable Police patrol and detective units secured 60 Fresh Holes Road while Hyannis Rescue staged nearby.

The original call was dispatched as a stabbing that required rescue.  Hyannis rescue arrived once police ensured the scene was safe.

Hyannis News cameras were rolling as police interviewed witnesses and a male, approximately age 40, received help as he walked unsteadily down the front steps to an awaiting stretcher, his left hand heavily bandaged from what is reportedly a knife wound that occurred during an altercation inside the residence.

Neighbors looked on as first responders rushed from their vehicles.  For the people of this particular neighborhood violence is a familiar scene, yet it still captured attention and caused concern. 

The victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital while a police cruiser followed closely behind.
