Osterville Crash Sends 3 to Cape Cod Hospital

OSTERVILLE - At about 9:30 Sunday morning, Barnstable Police responded to a serious 2 car crash at the corner of East Osterville Road and Route 28.  

The crash occurred when a silver Buick Sedan pulled out of East Osterville Road into the path of a west bound maroon Saab 9.3. The impact spun the Buick around into a utility pole and the Saab landed in the nearby woods across from the intersection on the east bound side of Route 28.   

Osterville Wrecked BuickThree people were transported to Cape Cod Hospital in three COMM Fire Rescue ambulances. Their condition is not known at this time.  Barnstable Police completely closed Route 28 between Lumbert Mill Road and West Barnstable Road for about 45 minutes during the investigation at the scene, treatment of the victims and removal of the wrecked vehicles. 

The accident remains under investigation by Patrol Officer Brendon Burchill.
