HYANNIS- Wednesday- At approximately 1:30am the alarm sounded at Steve and Sue’s Ice Cream and Mini Golf just as Hyannis News was passing by.

Sergeant Twomey was immediately on scene and discovered that someone had just broken to the establishment by “jimmying” the side door.

Moments later K-9 Officer Troy Perry and his tracking dog Ali arrived and discovered a fresh trail.

With the assistance of Officer Gino Desruisseaux, Officer Perry tracked the suspect south on Pine Ave, west on South Street, south on Chase Street, west on Dartmouth, and north on Oak Neck Road… the trail then went cold… in recent days Officer Perry has made two other tracks in this general direction and area.  One scenario is that the suspect stepped up into an awaiting vehicle.

Back at the scene Sergeant Twomey met with a caretaker for the mini golf course and discovered video surveillance that may help solve the case.
