In a case initiated by the Yarmouth Police Department near the end of this past March, 27-year-old Jimmy Lee Perry of Hyannis was arrested and charged with Trafficking Fentanyl after officers seized over 19 grams of the dangerous drug during a search warrant executed at 125 Lewis Road in the Town of Barnstable. Perry was ordered held on $20,000 bail and was subsequently released after somehow coming up with the cash.
Upon further investigation, officers from Barnstable were granted another search warrant after allegedly observing suspected ongoing illegal drug sales.
The 2nd warrant in so many months was served at 125 Lewis Road last evening and 3 handguns were allegedly found hidden somewhere within the domicile.
Two of the firearms were reported found loaded and missing serial numbers which had apparently been scratched off.
Jimmy Lee Perry and Michael Randall, Jr. were subsequently arrested and charged with the Armed Career Criminal Act, 3 Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and 3 Counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm.
Perry has an adult criminal record, including guilty findings for drug and assault offenses and a guilty finding in Barnstable District Court in 2009 for Possession of a Firearm without a permit, according to a BPD media statement.
Michael Randall, Jr. was also free on bail for previous motor vehicle charges, and has a violent criminal record including a Barnstable Superior Court conviction for Felonious Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number, Possession of a Firearm without a Permit, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Both suspects reportedly had their bail revoked today at Barnstable District Court for 90 days and an additional bail of $25,000 was placed on each individual regarding the new charges.
