VIDEO & STILLS: Yarmouth Port fire knocked down quickly… one firefighter hurt…

 
YARMOUTH PORT – According to Yarmouth FD, a firefighter was transported from this morning’s fire to CCH with injuries described as being minor. That firefighter was still at CCH as of 2:30PM, but is expected to be okay. No further details were available at the time of this report.

The following video briefly highlights firefighters attacking a smoky fire inside a home located at 208 Center Street this morning at about 8:00AM.

According to a witness, there was about 30 fire personnel on scene from three different towns, including 4 to 5 fire trucks and rescue personnel…

The Yarmouth Fire Chief reportedly quickly set up a command post and coordinated what was described as a well organized response. The fire was reportedly knocked down swiftly, with flames never breaching the rooftop.
