VIDEO: Woman knocked unconscious after walking into moving trailer…

HYANNIS – A 37-year-old woman was reportedly stepping off the sidewalk to cross the street when she failed to see the work trailer attached to the pickup truck which had just passed right in front of her this afternoon.

The impact knocked the woman unconscious and police found her down in the middle of North Street after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck.

The patient regained consciousness prior being placed inside an ambulance. She complained of trauma to the left side of her body, including her hip and collarbone areas. CCH was placed on trauma alert as the patient was being transported.

The driver of the truck was found to be not at fault.

The following video highlights the scene.

Holy Crap that’s scary. I’ll bet it happens more times that you might think too. With both pedestrians AND cars. Picture it; trying to scoot into a perceived opening in line of cars or trying to cross quickly across the road before the next string of cars come along or simply being in a rush or pre-occupied. I’ll bet the driver pulling the trailer wasn’t even aware that it happened (BTW I’m not blaming him/her for this). It sounds as though the woman will be okay. Be careful out there people. Cape Cod Summer Traffic is almost upon us.
