UPDATE – 12/6/2016 – 9:45PM – HN just briefly spoke with Yarmouth Police Sergeant Walter Warren, confirming the following:
At about 5:15PM, Yarmouth police received a report of serious crash involving two vehicles on Station Ave just east of Regional Ave.
The female driver of the sedan was injured and transported to CCH with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
A section of Station Ave needed to closed down for about an hour while police investigated the scene. Yarmouth firefighters were also on scene…
After field sobriety testing, Jane Fennessey, age 49, of South Yarmouth, the operator of the station wagon, was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of alcohol and Operating to Endanger.

YPD ARRESTS DRUNKEN WOMAN AFTER CAUSING CRASH IN SOUTH YARMOUTH
12/06/2016 – Tuesday 1715HRS
The Yarmouth Police and Fire Departments responded to a two vehicle crash last evening on Station Avenue which resulted in traffic being diverted and a South Yarmouth woman being arrested for Drunken Driving and other Crimes.
Jane A. Fennessey was processed at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and is scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court today.
The Yarmouth Police Department and the citizens of Yarmouth remind everyone not to drink and drive or ride in a vehicle when the driver has been drinking. It is a very dangerous crime with serious consequences.
