YPD: Free Town Taxi rides to Tuesday Learn to Cope peer support meetings…
The following is the actual YPD press statement:
Operation Ride for Hope Tonight!
In partnership with Town Taxi of Cape Cod and Learn to Cope, the Yarmouth Police Department has created a new program that will help family members of people addicted to opioids receive help and support.
Anyone from the towns of Yarmouth, Dennis, or Barnstable who needs a ride to and or from our weekly Learn to Cope meetings can call Town Taxi of Cape Cod at 508.775.5555 between 6:30PM and 9:30PM and a ride will be provided and paid by private donations.
Someone overdoses somewhere on Cape Cod every day.
Learn to Cope is a non-profit support group for parents and family members dealing with a loved one addicted to heroin, OxyContin, and other drugs and these weekly 90 minute meetings are free of any cost and are open to everyone.
Our weekly Learn to Cope group peer support meetings are held every Tuesday here at YPD Headquarters in our Community Room starting at 7PM.
You are not alone. There is hope…
