Hyannis firefighters respond to fuel spill at busy Ocean Street Docks… [HN VIDEO]
Shortly before noon, Hyannis Firefighters responded to Hyannis Harbor Tours (Hy-Line) at the Ocean Street Docks for a fuel spill coming from one of their high speed ferries, The Lady Martha.
Anywhere from 5 to 100 gallons of diesel fuel reportedly spilled into the inner harbor, according to sources on scene. Hyannis Harbor Tour staff and firefighters acted quickly to contain some of the spill. The leak from the vessel was also reportedly stopped.
The majority of the spill reportedly made it out into the greater harbor and open waters in the wake of other vessels.
Hy-Line reportedly called in a private company to clean up the contained portion of the spill.
