HN PHOTOS – HYANNIS CRASH – Harrowing moments for a young mom who had her 2-month-old on board…
HN NOTES: The following HN PHOTOS show an emotionally charged two-car crash scene that happened earlier this evening on South Street at the intersection of Pleasant Street. When HN arrived on scene, the young mom was sitting on the curb holding her infant, crying, obviously overcome with worry. (Something anyone who has been a new parent can identify with…) The HN PHOTOS also show bystanders who came to help the young mom and her child. They were complete strangers and the mom, nervous and full of anxiety, eventually allowed a female Good Samaritan to help and hold her baby while EMTs attended to her… According to Captain Gregory Dardia of the Hyannis Fire Department, the mom was eventually transported to nearby CCH for evaluation of injuries not believed to be life-threatening… and the baby was reportedly unharmed thanks to being in a car seat during the crash.
