LATEST UPDATE FROM CAPE & ISLANDS DA’S OFFICE: Thursday, August 1st at approximately 3:00 p.m. Barnstable Police responded to 28 Marchant Avenue in Hyannisport for an unresponsive female, later identified as Saoirse Kennedy Hill (d.o.b. 5-22-97). Hill was transported to Cape Cod Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted jurisdiction of the case. An autopsy performed today has revealed no trauma inconsistent with lifesaving measures. The cause and manner of death are pending the toxicology report.
The matter remains under investigation by Barnstable Police and State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.

HN UPDATE: According to online sources, the Kennedy family has announced the death of Saoirse Kennedy Hill, age 22, daughter of Courtney Kennedy and Paul Michael Hill, granddaughter of Ethel and the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy.

HYANNIS PORT – According to emergency radio traffic, police and rescue rushed to reports of an overdose inside the Kennedy Compound, at 28 Marchant Ave, at about 2:32 p.m. this afternoon.
According to radio transmissions, one of the first police officers on scene, an EMT and former ambulance worker, reported the patient was in cardiac arrest as he also immediately requested a supervisor to the scene.
Sources tell HN that 28 Marchant Ave is the home of Ethel Kennedy.
The patient was eventually transported to CCH in unknown condition. No official word yet on the identity of the patient or the precise nature of the emergency response. It was a busy scene, one which drew the attention of passing traffic and neighbors.
HN spoke briefly with the Hyannis Fire Department and at this time they were unable to say more than that they responded to a “medical” call…
As you will see in the following HN Footage, uniformed police officers and detectives remained on scene for a period of time to investigate…
