Missing Domino’s delivery driver returned to work and was arrested for allegedly driving drunk… [HN Video]
HYANNIS – The arrested woman seemed to be asking about her job while being placed into the backseat of a police cruiser…
… and without missing a beat the officer replied, “Well, you can’t drink and drive, especially when you’re delivering pizzas.”
At about 8:00PM last evening, police responded to Domino’s Pizza at 345 Falmouth Road after the manager called concerned about a missing female driver who was out making several pizza deliveries.
A customer had called wondering why the pizza order was taking so long.
HN picked up on the story when police in neighboring Yarmouth went to the missing driver’s residence to see if they could find her or her vehicle, which should have had a Domino’s Pizza sign on the roof…
… they had no luck.
Officers in the Mid-Cape area were notified to be on the lookout for the missing driver… and HN was beginning to imagine worst-case scenarios when a Barnstable Patrolman spotted the missing driver’s 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander, stopping it right as it was pulling up in front of the Domino’s store that had called police in the first place.
The missing driver was behind the wheel and had some explaining to do…
… but as officers were speaking with the young woman, they began to suspect she had been operating her Mitsubishi Outlander under the influence of alcohol.
As you will see in the following HN Video, the missing Domino’s Driver was ultimately arrested for OUI and transported back to BPD Headquarters for booking.
