Pedestrian struck and pinned under car on Route 132… rushed to CCH … [VIDEO]
HYANNIS – At about 6:30pm, Barnstable Police and Hyannis Rescue rushed to help a woman who was pinned under vehicle on Route 132 near the intersection with Nightingale Lane.
The pedestrian was struck during heavy rain and winds.
According to radio transmissions, a patrolman was able to push the vehicle off of the victim.
Rescue workers were referring to the patient’s condition as ‘priority one.’
A source on scene mentioned the patient was seriously injured, but still breathing.
It’s uncertain, but a med-flight was likely unavailable due to severe weather conditions at the time of the accident…
The patient was taken to CCH… (One source says the patient is considered in critical condition and was eventually airlifted to Boston…)
