*** WATCH *** POLICE TAKEDOWN AFTER WOMAN CALLED YELLING FOR HELP
HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – The streets were bustling early Friday evening when a woman called police yelling for help at an apartment on School Street. A nearby Barnstable patrol officer was on scene within seconds and quickly put out a description of a young man running along an East End sidewalk, dressed in a turquoise shirt. HN was literally around the corner when the suspect was spotted on a police-monitored surveillance camera near the intersection of Main Street and Pleasant Street. As you will see in the following HN Video, a Barnstable Police K9 unit quickly encountered the barefoot suspect as he was traveling west toward the intersection of Main Street and Center Street. The man was promptly taken into custody without incident… and, according to radio transmissions, eventually charged with Domestic Assault & Battery, along with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, to wit one Swiffer Wet Jet mop handle (or similar-type domestic cleaning implement). Hyannis Rescue responded to the school street address to evaluate the alleged victims… but nobody was transported to hospital. No further details were available at the time of this report…
