WILD NIGHT: STOLEN VEHICLES & PLATES, HIGHWAY PURSUIT, ATTEMPT TO STRIKE CRUISER, “MULTIPLE” VEHICLES BROKEN INTO…
BOURNE, Massachusetts – [DEVELOPING DETAILS] – According to an early morning B.O.L.O (be on the lookout) put out to area police departments, Wareham police was looking for a black Range Rover stolen out of their town. At the time, they believed the Range Rover was possibly ditched in the Bourne area. The suspects were believed to have then entered a white GMC Yukon with New York license plates attached. Bourne Police tried to stop the white Yukon which reportedly fled from them onto Route 25 back toward Wareham. State troopers tried to catch up to the pursuit but the highway was reportedly slippery. Police lost sight of the fleeing vehicle somewhere on Route 495. Conditions were hazardous. At the time of the same B.O.L.O., the Bourne Police Department was investigating “multiple” crime scenes where vehicles were broken into in their town, according to radio transmissions. The above HN photo was taken at one of the crime scenes, outside an apartment building at 92 Sandwich Road in Bourne, where Bourne officers were investigating a B&E into a pickup truck. Officers were attempting to make contact with the vehicle’s owner, a man in his late 50s who resided at the apartments. The Bourne FD was called to the 92 Sandwich Road apartments in order to help them enter a residence there, according to radio transmissions.
No further details were available at the time of this report. HN has reached out to the Bourne PD for official, updated details…
