HN AUDIO/VIDEO: 9-year-old said he was kidnapped from home… but was that what really happened?
WEST BARNSTABLE – An afternoon call involving a young child had police scrambling to a secluded dirt road off Route 6A this afternoon.
A 9-year old boy called police saying he was kidnapped by a man with red hair and a red beard. The man was said to have placed duct tape over the boy’s mouth before removing him from his home.
The boy told police the man left him at the end of Navigation Road, a secluded dirt road not to far from his home.
Police located the boy at the end of Navigation Road and treated the situation as if a crime had been committed…
… the boy was reunited with his father and at some point the police learned the truth.
