Adorable male pit bull found abandoned, tied to a sign post… [VIDEO]
HYANNIS – Not every night is high-crime in HyTown…
… but nonetheless, hardly an evening goes by when HN doesn’t encounter something heartbreaking on our streets.
Like an abandoned dog tied to sign post, for example…
Early this morning at about 3:30AM, a plainclothes patrolman was dispatched to a report of a dog in the middle of the street, looking at a house, barking.
HN arrived moments before the patrolman signed off and this is what I saw.
The following video begins with HN dashcam footage and radio transmissions before switching to HD.

HN NOTE: The patrolman checked with neighbors and the dog was not recognized as being from the immediate neighborhood. The dog seemed scared and a little nervous at first. But warmed up to the young patrolman right away (who told HN he doesn’t currently have a dog… so who knows, it’s possible he may have just found one… hint hint… that’s if the owner cannot be located, etc…)
The dog was taken back to Barnstable Police Headquarters for the remainder of the evening.
