SHOCKING DETAILS: Four promptly arrested after violent home invasion…
The following is the actual BPD press release:
On Tuesday 09/09/14, at approximately 0144hrs. [1:44am], the Barnstable Police Department received a report of an armed home invasion at 12 Hiramar Road Hyannis where a firearm was displayed. Within seconds of the dispatch, Patrol Officer Thomas Edwards encountered Liovi Lewis (05/30/80) and Rogetta Donalson (04/18/94) walking in the area Bearse’s Way and Hiramar Road. Witness statements also placed Josiah Nicholas [AKA ‘Joe-Joe’] (08/09/95) and his white Lincoln motor vehicle in the immediate area just prior to the incident.
Shortly thereafter, a vehicle matching that description was observed slowly circling the neighborhood. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, Miguel Cardona (01/04/94), was subsequently arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Upon further investigation it was learned that the tenant of 12 Hiramar Road had been knocked down as several armed and masked suspects forcibly entered the residence. The tenant was ordered to “stay down or I’ll kill you”.
It was also discovered that a second occupant in the residence was ordered to produce the money as he was instructed to “give it up, give it up.” This occupant was restrained by one of the suspects as another assaulted him with a baseball bat. The victim was later transported to Cape Cod Hospital for multiple injuries including lacerations to his wrist, shin and foot and broken bones in his hand. The victim was subsequently treated by ER doctors and released later in the morning.
Shortly after the home invasion, the owner of the white Lincoln motor vehicle, Josiah Nicholas, entered the front lobby of the Barnstable Police Department to inquire about his car and Miguel Cardona. Upon physical inspection of Josiah Nicholas by detectives, numerous items of physical evidence were discovered linking him to the crime scene at 12 Hiramar Road. Josiah Nicholas was then questioned concerning his involvement in the incident. Nicholas gave a statement confessing his involvement as well as the involvement of Rogetta Donalson and Liovi Lewis in the home invasion.
NOTE: A pellet gun and baseball bat were recovered from the scene of the home invasion.

Original HN coverage from earlier this morning:
ARMED HOME INVASION: “Men with guns…” “wounded victim to CCH…” “at least one suspect arrested…”
HYANNIS – At about 1:44am, a full contingent of Barnstable patrol officers rushed 12 Hiramar Road after a home invasion where reportedly 4 suspects “armed with guns” fled the scene in the direction of Route 28.
Initial patrol officers on scene advised other squad cars the suspects fled in the direction of D’Angelo’s Sandwich Shop on Route 28, and possibly toward the pathway to the rear between D’Angelo’s parking area and the Quaker Road dead end.
Barnstable Patrols had an image of a perimeter and were zeroing in on a likely direction of travel.
The allegedly armed suspects were described as four males dressed in black and wearing hoodies. The precise ethnicity of the assailants was uncertain.
Moments after their arrival, police requested an ambulance for a victim with a cut on his arm. They also requested rescue to evaluate an additional victim. One of the injured victims was reportedly transported to Cape Cod Hospital, while the other declined to be transported.
Barnstable Police immediately called for a K-9 team, as well as a detective.
Patrolman Sean Roycroft and his K-9 partner Rocky responded and began investigating the general area. The dog, unfortunately, was unable to locate a definitive track.
Detective Kevin Connolly arrived on scene to take charge of the investigation…
A Crime Scene Investigator for the Barnstable Sheriff’s Department was also called in to take photos and process the scene for evidence.
A female witness of the crime fled 12 Hiramar Road and reportedly ran to 44 Fresh Holes Road where she also called police several times asking for help.
Moments later, Patrolwoman K. Ross spotted a white town car driven by a male who fit the description of one of the suspects. A felony traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Bearses Way and Bumpus Road. A male was taken into custody for being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol, as well as other unspecified narcotic charges. The white town car was processed for evidence and towed from the scene.
Over an hour after the initial call, a man named “Joe-Joe” walked into the lobby at BPD Headquarters inquiring about the white town car which had recently been towed. Under direction from a supervisor, patrol officers quickly swarmed into the front lot of police headquarters and stopped “Joe-Joe,” along with any other individuals present with him.
As of 3:20am, the BPD were still gathering facts and investigating. The incident actively remains under investigation. The details of this report are based on ongoing radio communications, as well as other sources.
