THE REST OF THE PICTURE: Random HN Photos from the last several overnights…
HN NOTE: These are in no particular order. Just randomly selected photos of routine calls from the last several overnights.
TOP HN PHOTO: A Barnstable Police Patrolwoman looks on with concern as a Hyannis Rescue EMT loads a 76-year-old man into an ambulance. The call came in minutes prior to midnight. Upon arrival, police encountered the patient on the ground outside of a Hyannis hotel room. The patient was suffering a bruise to the back of the head from some type of family fight. Domestic related violence happens even while families are on vacation trying to enjoy themselves. No further details available due to the nature of the call. The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the incident.

HN PHOTO: Barnstable patrol officers investigate a pedestrian in his early 30s at around 1:30 a.m.. The young man had 41 entries on his adult record, including larceny, assault and battery, and one firearm charge, according to radio transmissions. The individual was not arrested.

HN PHOTO: Barnstable Firefighters rushed to the end of Scudder Lane for an early morning boat fire. The fire was confined to the engine compartment and was quickly knocked down before it could spread to the fuel and the rest of the vessel.

HN PHOTO: A passenger was discovered to have an outstanding arrest warrant that needed to be cleared up. He was taken into custody and booked. Routine traffic stops are often reminders of unfinished court business.

HN PHOTO: Police and firefighters responded to Main Street, Hyannis to assist a young adult male assault victim. His injuries were not serious and he was conscious and alert prior to transport to CCH. The person who allegedly assaulted him was not on scene when police arrived.
The above are random HN Photos of a few of the routine scenes from the last several days. HN does not typically respond to routine calls, only when there is a potential of things either escalating or becoming more involved. In the case of the above photos, they all remained at the “routine” level.
