BOLO: Gun shown during argument over parking space…
HYANNIS – A father and his young son reported that man took out a handgun while they were arguing over a parking space outside the movie theaters at the Cape Cod Mall…
The man with the gun then drove off in a black Mazda along Route 28 toward Yarmouth…
Father and son followed the suspect in their vehicle as far as the Barnstable/Yarmouth town line on Route 28…
A Barnstable Patrolman was dispatched to the Hess gas station at Baker’s Square where he met the father and son, gathering additional information…
A BOLO (Be on the lookout) was given out to the Yarmouth Police and State Police…
Police are looking for a 2005 black Mazda with Maine license plates reading 6538TH… last seen traveling eastbound into the Town of Yarmouth along Route 28…
The father was pretty sure the handgun was real when the man took it out… but according to police the man did not verbalize any specific threats… as of right now police need to question the man with the handgun… they don’t know where he’s from or who he is at this time… or whether or not he’s properly licensed to be in possession of a firearm within our state…
The incident remains under investigation… anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the black Mazda should call one of the police departments mentioned in this BOLO…
The subject wanted for questioning is armed… do not approach or confront this individual… call police and use caution…
