BOURNE – A two car crash at the crest of the Sagamore Bridge completely closed down traffic in both directions for about 2 hours last evening. Bourne and state police responded to the scene shortly after 10:00 p.m. Saturday. There were no reported injuries. An oil spill across the entire bridge delayed reopening while crews put down “speedy dry,” awaiting a sander to make several passes eastbound and westbound until officials on scene felt there was no longer a hazard to motorists… There may have been a second crash at the base of the mainland side of the bridge, according to radio transmissions… but that has not been officially confirmed.
