CAUGHT ON HN VIDEO – BUST AT HYANNIS FIREWORKS: B&E suspect fled crime scene on skateboard… believes he was arrested for “loving” Donald Trump…
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – At about 8:00 p.m., police were called to the Guaranteed Fresh Produce store after a man pried open a side door and entered before being spotted by an employee. It happened at a time when most of the Barnstable Police Department’s resources were working the area of the fireworks display.
The store was closed at the time breaking and entering.
The suspect reportedly entered and threw a bottle of juice before fleeing the scene on a “long board” skateboard. He was described as a male, age 40 to 50 years old, long brown hair, neck tattoo…
About half-an-hour later, officers got a call about a man with a skateboard creating a disturbance at the fireworks celebration in the area of Aselton Park, on South Street to the rear of Maritime Museum near the Ocean Street Docks. Officers believed the man fit the description of the B&E suspect.
As you will see in the following HN Video, the suspect was ranting in front of a large crowd, professing he loved Donald Trump and that his love for Trump was the reason police were taking him into custody.
The Man was arrested on charges relating to disturbing the peace. Upon further investigation, police reportedly believe they have the man who had also just broken into Guaranteed Fresh Produce – according to unofficial sources.
The following HN Video captures the arrest scene at Aselton Park. It also contains still images of officers investigating the break-in. And of course, it also has some shots of the Hyannis fireworks display that happened shortly after the arrest… [DEVELOPING]
HN FACT CHECK: F.Y.I. – HN did some online research and there is currently NO law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that explicitly prohibits “loving” Donald Trump. 😉
