[DA’s MEDIA STATEMENT] On Wednesday March 23rd, a Barnstable Superior Court Jury convicted Jamie Silva of seven counts of Aggravated Rape of a Child, seven counts of Indecent Assault & Battery on a Person Under 14, and Intimidation of a Witness. Sentencing was scheduled for March 25th.

Today, the Honorable Elaine M. Buckley sentenced Jaime Silva on his convictions for Aggravated Rape of a Child and Intimidation of a Witness. The defendant was sentenced to 18-20 years in prison for two counts of Aggravated Rape of a Child, followed by an additional 13-15 years in prison for five additional counts of Aggravated Rape of a Child. The defendant wasalso sentenced to 30 years of supervised probation for Intimidation of a Witness.

The case was investigated by the Barnstable Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Daniel Higgins. The Barnstable County Sheriffs Office also assisted in the investigation of this case.
