COPS CAPTURE A COUPLE OF ASSES IN MASHPEE!

MASHPEE – Two donkeys named Ginger and Jack went missing in the area of Orchard Road earlier today. According to Sergeant Mike Assad of the Mashpee Police Department, one of the donkeys somehow managed to kick out part of a fence. From there the two asses made a break for it!
The call went out to the Mashpee Police, the Mashpee Department of Natural Resources, and the Harbormaster’s office even got in on the action. Apparently Jack was pretty good at the game, giving everyone a run for their money by playing hide ‘n seek!
But as time wore on, the “game” grew old for everyone involved, including the donkeys’ owners. And that’s when Mashpee Police put “Public Assistance Needed!” on their Facebook page. They apparently were no longer horsing around…
… “[manure] just got real!”
And today’s donkey pursuit would have likely lasted much longer if it were “the average” patrol force, but the Mashpee Police Department has a reputation as being one of the finest rootin’-tootin’ jackass wranglers in the business!
I asked Sgt. Assad if he was in on the capture and he said he was. But he also added it was the owners who showed up and finally got the lasso around good ole Jack…
HN NOTE: No official word on whose idea it was… but if I had to bet, I’d let it all ride on Jack!
