CRACK PIPE, SHROOMS, AND A BUSTED BULB: EASTHAM MAN NOT SMILING AFTER SECOND ARREST IN TWO WEEKS…
WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS – According to a recent Yarmouth Police Department media statement, last Monday evening – 7/28/25 – at around 9:45 p.m., a YPD sergeant on patrol noticed a white Mercury Grand Marquis pass him without an operable license plate light.
The sergeant spun around, ran the plate and conducted a traffic stop on West Yarmouth Road near the intersection with Rte. 28…
… and lo and behold, the car’s inspection sticker was seven months past due.
It became more problematic for the operator when a crack pipe was noticed on the floor, according to the media statement. The YPD statement continues as follows:
“Additional officers arrived and throughout the investigation, located a clear plastic bag with approximately 4.75 grams of crack cocaine, a bag of psilocybin mushrooms, and drug packaging materials. The driver and only occupant of the car, Vincent Silva, 29, of Eastham was placed under arrest. This is the second time Silva has been arrested by the Yarmouth Police in two weeks for drug possession and distribution charges.
Silva was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class C Controlled Substance. He was arraigned Tuesday in Barnstable District Court and held on bail. Silva was issued a citation for the defective plate light and inspection violation.”
