HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – Kelsey Lima was one of two females injured in last Sunday morning’s vehicle vs. pedestrian hit-and-run in the parking lot of the Tiki Port restaurant. The 21-year-old male driver of the pickup truck that left the scene is also accused of using his vehicle as a dangerous weapon, and he was arraigned this past Monday on multiple criminal charges, including two felonies. Kelsey’s injuries were severe, and she was immediately airlifted to a Rhode Island trauma center following the crash. Kelsey suffered extreme trauma, including broken facial bones and a collapsed lung. According to a family member, Kelsey is now home being supported by loved ones. THE FUNDRAISER TO HELP KELSEY:
In a gofundme fundraiser entitled “Support Kelsey’s Recovery Journey,” her aunt shares the following:
“Please help my niece Kelsey with medical bills, treatment, and household expenses while she is recovering from her injuries sustained in a hit and run this past weekend.
Kelsey was born and raised on Cape Cod. Kelsey is a hardworking single Mother of two beautiful children. Kelsey is also a Cape homeowner. Kelsey is intelligent, fun loving, and a quick witted woman who always places family and friends as her top priority. Let us show her the same support now!
At this time, it is unclear what her medical needs will be as she recovers. We do know that a return to work will not happen anytime soon.
Any contribution big or small would help secure her household bills and medical expenses. Sharing the gofundme is also important.
Thank you”
