HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS — A man in his 50s was arrested late Wednesday evening after allegedly breaking into a cleaning person’s vehicle at a Cape Cod Healthcare facility, shortly after being released from nearby Cape Cod Hospital.
The incident unfolded around 9:00 p.m. on November 19, 2025, when Barnstable Police officers responded to a report of a breaking and entering at Cape Cod Healthcare Lab Services, located at 14 Yellow Brick Road. An after-hours cleaning person alerted authorities, claiming a male suspect had broken into their vehicle and may have also attempted to enter the building.
Following a search of the area, Patrolwoman Braila Roy spotted a man matching the suspect’s description behind a business on Bayview Street. The individual was detained, and the cleaning person was brought to the scene, where they positively identified him as the perpetrator, sources say.
The suspect was arrested on charges of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle during the nighttime. A member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit processed the victim’s vehicle for fingerprints.
Authorities noted that the man had recently been discharged from care at Cape Cod Hospital. He was transported to Barnstable Police Headquarters for booking and processing. The investigation remains ongoing. No further details were available at the time of this report.
