HYANNIS – As you will see in the following HN Video, Barnstable Police stopped a stolen truck and boat trailer on Main Street Saturday evening.
A 2007 Red GMC 2500 pickup, registered to Karl’s Boat Shop, 50 Great Western Road in Harwich, was also reportedly towing a stolen 30 foot boat trailer with Ohio tags, both believed to have been stolen earlier in the evening.
The stolen truck and boat trailer was also believed to have been involved in an earlier hit and run collision at a highway Exit ramp in the area of Willow Street and Route 6. The Massachusetts State Police are investigating that incident…
A B.O.L.O. was broadcast to Cape Cod police departments and Barnstable Police patrol officers eventually stopped the stolen truck in front of Bank of America on Main Street.
The male operator of the stolen truck and boat trailer was reportedly arrested for OUI by the Barnstable Police Department.
A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to take photos of the truck and trailer…
The incident is actively being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police, Harwich Police, and Barnstable Police…
