OH SAY, CAN YOU SEE? – Mustang with Old Glory paint job hauled away after allegedly failing to stop for cops… driver locked up for OUI… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – The operator of a Mustang with an American Flag paint job was arrested for drunk driving after allegedly failing to stop for police.
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, the traffic stop eventually happened on North Street near the intersection with High School Road at around 10:00 p.m., last evening.
According to radio transmissions, the driver allegedly failed to stop for a Barnstable Police sergeant and lieutenant who were patrolling the Main Street area on bicycles.
Prior to the stop, officers referred to the vehicle as being a “Mustang with an American Flag…” but what they were actually describing was an antique Ford Mustang with a totally gnarly American Flag paint job… it was an impressive patriotic looking clean machine, to say the least… from the days when cars were beautiful works of art to begin with.
The driver was charged with OUI, Failure to Stop for Police, and Operating to Endanger, according to radio traffic.
* All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
