HN PHOTOS: Body under a bloody blanket?

HYANNIS – Police and firefighters rushed to an empty parking lot on Barnstable Road yesterday morning after a couple of office employees arrived at work and observed what appeared to be a body underneath a bloody blanket. (From a distance it actually looked like the real deal…) But upon closer inspection… and to the relief of everyone, including the two employees, the bloody blanket turned out to be a discarded rolled up carpet with a fresh blood-toned floral design. (No body.)

CENTERVILLE – A high school student escaped injury after the pickup he was driving rolled onto its side while commuting to classes this morning. The crash happened on Prince Hinckley Road. The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. (Excessive speed while hugging the neighborhood turns has not been ruled out as a factor…)
