A badly wounded man described as being in his late 20s was discovered by a Barnstable Police Patrolman on Main Street near the intersection with Old Colony Road around 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning. The victim was suffering from what was described as a deep, penetrating stab wound to his chest. Police officers applied a chest seal and Hyannis Rescue transported the severely injured man to Cape Cod Hospital. The victim was eventually airlifted to Boston Medical Center, where his injuries were described as “critical” later Saturday morning. The patient’s condition has reportedly improved since then, according to police… and the nature of the investigation has shifted from a possible homicide to one of attempted murder. A suspect in the early morning knifing was arrested shortly after the crime during a car stop, about two blocks away from where police discovered the victim. Robinson was also charged with Resisting Arrest and interfering with the police investigation.

As you will also see in the following HN Video, a third male wearing a white hoodie was detained in handcuffs during the car stop. That man was NOT charged with a crime as the police investigation unfolded.
