HYANNIS – At about 9:00 p.m. this evening, Barnstable Police and Hyannis Firefighters rushed to an address for an “infant choking.”

One of the first patrolmen on scene keyed his mic and a baby could be heard crying loudly in the background as he said, “baby’s alert, conscious, and breathing…” which was music to everyone’s ears!

In the above HN Photo, a Hyannis EMT is keeping a very close eye on the baby as he hustles in the direction of an awaiting ambulance. The child was then transported to the emergency room at Cape Cod Hospital as a precaution. According to on scene sources, the child is expected to be okay…
