HYANNIS MUGGING: Female college students reportedly beaten and robbed while walking home from annual Stonehill celebration… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – As you will see in the following HN Video, two female college students called police saying they had just been punched and robbed near the intersection of Main Street and Ocean Street this morning shortly after 1:00 a.m..
The women had been walking back on their way to their accommodations from the Torino nightclub after attending an annual end-of-year graduation celebration for fellow Stonehill College classmates.
Police arrived quickly and took a female suspect into custody.
Officers had the victims identify the suspect, who they accused of beating at least one of them before stealing a wallet with credit cards and cash. Both victims were visibly upset from the ordeal — this annual event was supposed to be a happy occasion in their lives.
According to sources, the wallet has not yet been recovered and officers believed it may have been ditched nearby or possibly thrown up onto one of the nearby rooftops…
A 47-year-old Hyannis homeless woman was arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery, along with Assault & Battery. At the time of this report, the suspect was also being held in Protective Custody for being intoxicated. UPDATE: Sources have identified the suspect as Leslie Siscoe of Hyannis…
The female victims did not need medical attention and were eventually driven back to where they were staying by a Barnstable Police sergeant.
