What’s a half human, half fish girl to do? Where modern fashions call for ever shrinking, more revealing outfits? It’s getting tougher and tougher for a healthy full figured mermaid to find clam shells in her size these days!
So what’s the problem with the outfit on the healthy mermaid sand sculpture in front of Salty’s Seafood Restaurant in West Yarmouth?
Most don’t see one…
… but according to a HN source, Yarmouth Police were forced to remove an image of the sculpture from their Facebook page after receiving complaints from certain individuals who deemed the pile of sand much too titillating.
As most know, HN takes freedom of expression very seriously and it’s our policy to investigate allegations of censorship… we also happen to be huge fans of mermaids of all shapes and sizes.
