SOUTH DENNIS – As you will see in the following HN Video, at about 9:45 pm, Airline Road needed to be completely shut down after a motorcycle and truck collided.

The driver of the motorcycle was injured and reportedly found down in the roadway. One of the first police officers at the scene reported he was conscious and alert. Dennis Rescue transported the injured biker to Cape Cod Hospital. His condition is unknown at the time of this report.

The crash happened at a bend on Airline Road in the vicinity of Jet Way.

Both the motorcycle and pickup needed to be towed from the scene. The pickup had a flattened and heavily damaged rear tire and rim, and possibly even had a broken axle according to radio transmissions.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Dennis Police Department.
