Tuesday in Hyannis photos…
“When the deep purple falls Over sleepy garden walls And the stars begin to twinkle in the sky…”
Notes – above HN photos: police and firefighters responded to an address on the west side of Hyannis after a report of a homeless person’s tent on fire in someone’s back yard early this morning. Firefighters quickly extinguished the melted tent. Police were looking into the matter… and there wasn’t a body inside, which is always a bonus.
Notes – above HN video freeze-frame: Barnstable Police patrol officers rushed to the Cape Cod Hospital emergency room shortly after midnight after receiving a report of a male on a bench “exposing himself” in front of the triage area. Officers had a word with the 67-year-old male who appeared fully dressed by the time HN arrived on scene. The man did not have any warrants, yet was no stranger to law enforcement, according to radio chatter regarding his adult record. He was not arrested but ended up being “trespassed” from the hospital for a period of two years, according to radio transmissions. He took his time packing up all of his belongings, including a blanket, backpack, and walking stick, before peacefully leaving the property… destination unknown…
Notes – above HN video freeze-frames: at around 12:30 a.m. this morning, Barnstable Police patrol officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 62-year-old woman from Cotuit on a Felony Warrant out of Barnstable. The warrant was for “Intimidation,” possibly having something to do with an ongoing situation regarding a tenant, according to sources.
HN NOTE: The above Hyannis News photos/video freeze-frames capture a very small fraction of the police activity in Hyannis over the 24-hour period from Monday, October 6 into Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The above images are followed by basic descriptions, not comprehensive reports. All individuals, whether suspects or potential suspects, are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
“In the mist of a memoryYou wander on back to meBreathing my name with a sigh.
Here in my deep purple dreams…”
