Two Motorcyclists Face Criminal Charges After Crash at Bourne Intersection
BOURNE, MASSACHUSETTS – Two motorcyclists involved in a crash at the intersection of County Rd and Barlow’s Landing Rd on September 29, 2025, will face criminal charges, according to Bourne Police.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:11 PM when Bourne Police and Bourne Fire Department responded to reports of a collision involving a gray Mazda SUV and two motorcycles. Officers found a blue Suzuki GSX-R750, operated by a 31-year-old man from Wareham, and a black Suzuki GSX-R600, operated by a 16-year-old from Rochester, down in the roadway next to the SUV.
Investigations revealed that the Mazda was stopped at a red light on Barlow’s Landing Rd, heading westbound. Three motorcycles were traveling northbound on County Rd when the blue Suzuki veered off the roadway, crossed a grass median, and struck the Mazda on the driver’s side. The black Suzuki, following closely behind, was unable to stop and collided with the first motorcycle. A third motorcyclist, also part of the group, stopped safely and remained at the scene as a witness.
Both motorcyclists were transported to area hospitals for evaluation of possible minor injuries. The occupants of the Mazda were unharmed, and their vehicle was driven from the scene. Both motorcycles were towed.
The operator of the blue Suzuki GSX-R750 faces multiple charges, including operating after suspension, attaching plates, operating an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to stay in marked lanes. The operator’s license was suspended, and the motorcycle’s plates did not belong to the vehicle.
The 16-year-old operator of the black Suzuki GSX-R600, who held only a learner’s permit, is charged with unlicensed operation for riding after sunset, which violates permit restrictions allowing operation only between sunrise and sunset.
Bourne Police continue to investigate the incident. The above is based on a Bourne PD media statement, further details have not been released.
