Unconscious female slipped date rape drug, friend believes… [UPDATED]
UPDATE – 9/25/16 9:45PM – According to a source, the investigation is still ongoing with the question being whether the alleged victim was drugged or not.
Also, as of right now, all accounts indicate the alleged drugging occurred on a boat docked near the Hyannis Marina. Again, it remains uncertain what caused the young woman to become unconscious. Police are still investigating…
HYANNIS – She had a “weird” feeling all night and wouldn’t touch a drink. Then her best friend suddenly became unconscious before being driven away in an ambulance.
At about 8:30PM last evening, police and rescue responded to the waterfront in the area of Trader Eds for an unconscious female whose drink may have been poisoned with a “roofie,” or some other type of date rape drug…
According to sources, the alleged victim was vomiting as she was coming around on the way to CCH.
A friend of the patient told HN she had never seen her friend “like that,” meaning her friend never had become intoxicated to the point of suddenly passing out.
They drink socially and definitely not to excess, the friend told HN. Last evening, the patient and three friends were invited onto a boat docked in the area of Trader Eds.
The woman HN spoke with believes her friend may have been slipped a roofie on that boat. “There were four guys trying to make her drink,” she said.
Unlike the patient, she had a “weird” unsafe feeling all night and wouldn’t accept any drinks. She realized her gut feelings were probably right when she noticed her friend sweating profusely. She works as nurse and took her friend’s pulse prior to her losing consciousness… and her pulse had been “low.”
Police followed rescue to CCH, took a report, and are investigating…
Was she poisoned with some type of date rape drug? That has yet to be determined. But one thing is certain, a young lady can never be too careful in today’s world.
