*** WATCH *** FAMILY OF FIVE AND TWO DOGS ESCAPE HYANNIS BLAZE…
HYANNIS – At about 11:00 p.m. last evening, Hyannis Fire Department rushed to 45 Louis Street in Hyannis for a family duplex/home on fire. The following HN Video begins with an interview with Captain Jeff Huska of the Hyannis Fire Department. According to Captain Huska, a family of five, including two adults and three children, and two dogs escaped the fire safely… but are now all displaced. At the time of this report, the Red Cross was en-route to possibly assist with temporary shelter…
The HN footage then reverts back to when firefighters first arrived on scene, with heavy flames showing… Firefighters battled the flames in last evening’s bitter cold and icy conditions. The fire began on the outside of the duplex, quickly spreading into the walls and into a second floor bedroom.
It’s still uncertain what caused the blaze and a fire investigator with the Barnstable Police Department arrived on scene to assist with the investigation. [DEVELOPING]
