HYANNIS – [HN NOTES] – As you will see in the following HN Video, multiple patrol officers quickly zeroed in on the area surrounding Fitness 500 on North Street after reports of a man with a knife chasing somebody around the parking lot this afternoon. Police quickly located an intoxicated man fitting the description, took him to the ground and cuffed him after a brief tussle. The man was known to responding officers. There was no knife found on him as he was being taken into custody. The incident was believed to be the result of an ongoing feud between two men who frequent the downtown area. The man who was cuffed was transported back to police headquarters in protective custody. One of the involved parties who called police was reportedly uncooperative, according to sources. The incident is being investigated by the Barnstable Police Patrol Division.
