HN PHOTOS: Break discovered at Seven G’s…
WEST BARNSTABLE – Police discovered a break-in while investigating a “glass break” alarm last evening.
At about 11:00 p.m., Barnstable Police squad cars began responding to Seven G’s Liquors at 990 Main Street/Route 6A where the first officers on scene discovered an open window, the apparent point of possible entry.
A Barnstable Police K9 unit responded and quickly took off tracking easterly along Route 6A where they discovered at least two articles of clothing, including a black sweatshirt, according to radio transmissions. All found articles were processed and collected as evidence.
Back at the scene, officers searched the store after the front doors were unlocked by a caretaker. A member of the Barnstable Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation unit took photographs and dusted around the open window for possible latent fingerprints.
With the help of store surveillance images, officers stopped and ruled out possible suspects in the area. No arrests were made.
No further details were available at the time of this report and the investigation remains active and ongoing… [DEVELOPING]
