West Yarmouth apartments evacuated for moderate smoke condition… [HN VIDEO]
WEST YARMOUTH, Massachusetts – At around 8:00 p.m., firefighters from Yarmouth and Hyannis responded to the Mill View Suites at 85 Rte. 28 for a possible fire on the second floor. It turned out to be a small fire caused by a discarded cigarette, according to a fire official on scene. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a moderate smoke condition and the building needed to be ventilated. The situation was well in hand and occupants had already evacuated safely by the time HN arrived on scene. A Yarmouth Fire prevention officer responded to speak with residents. No residents or firefighters were harmed…
