*** WATCH *** YARMOUTH STANDOFF: Male arrested after allegedly putting gun to woman’s head… [PART ONE]
WEST YARMOUTH – [DEVELOPING] – As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, a male was taken into custody after a standoff that lasted over 5 hours. At around 11:30 p.m., Yarmouth Police Officers responded to an apartment complex in the area of the intersection with Route 28 and Springer Lane… after receiving allegations that a female had just been assaulted by a male who pulled a gun on her and pointed it at her head. There was also a 13-year-old child and another male inside the apartment where the assault allegedly occurred. The female was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation. The 13-year-old and other male were able to exit the apartment without incident. It initially seemed as if the suspect would cooperate with patrol officers and exit the apartment. He ultimately did not exit, which caused a standoff that lasted into the early morning hours…
