*** WATCH *** POLICE & FIRE OFFICIALS INVESTIGATING EARLY MORNING CAR FIRE IN CENTERVILLE
CENTERVILLE, Massachusetts – Firefighter rushed to reports of an outside fire at a resident on Thistle Drive early this morning. Upon arrival, police and firefighters found a fully engulfed Volvo sedan parked in the driveway. A second vehicle in the driveway was also in danger of catching fire. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire before it spread further. Both vehicles were damaged. Captain Brian Morrison of the Centerville-Osterville-Martons Mills Fire Department interviewed the vehicle’s owner and called for one of his department’s fire investigators. The Barnstable Police Department also called for one of their investigators. According to Captain Morrison, they also called for an accelerant detection dog from the State Fire Marshals Office. The cause of this morning’s fire is under investigation.
