2 AM Hyannis Bust: Wanted Man Snagged on Home Invasion, A&B DW, Gun & Drug Raps [HN Photos]

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – In the early hours of the morning, a traffic stop in Hyannis led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man wanted on serious warrants, including home invasion and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Barnstable Police patrol officers pulled over a sedan carrying three men from Fall River around 2:00 a.m. after spotting the vehicle speeding and cruising suspiciously through the Hyannis area. One passenger, identified as Spencer Shearrion of Fall River (see top HN photo), was quickly flagged during a routine check due to two outstanding arrest warrants.
The first warrant, issued by Orleans District Court, stems from an alleged incident in the Town of Dennis involving assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, as well as home invasion. The second warrant, out of Fall River, relates to prior firearm and drug-related charges.
Shearrion was taken into custody without incident and transported to Barnstable Police Headquarters for booking.
The other two occupants, also from Fall River and familiar to local officers, were detained for a search. Officer John Gardner, assisted by drug detection K9 Madison, conducted a thorough sweep of the men and the vehicle. With no alerts from the K9 and the vehicle cleared, the pair was released and allowed to leave the scene.
Authorities have released no additional details at this time, but HN will provide updates as more information becomes available.
