Barnstable Patrolwoman Busts Man Breaking Into Brand New Volvos in Hyannis! [HN Video]
HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN Video Notes] – It was just after 2:15 a.m. Thursday when security cameras at the Volvo dealership on North Street in Hyannis caught a man sneaking onto the lot and going through brand new vehicles.
Barnstable Police squad cars hit the gas and Patrolwoman Rebecca Tatzel-Mandel rolled up within seconds, taking the suspect into custody — a homeless man well known to local officers.
He’s now facing charges of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle during nighttime hours. He was transported straight to Barnstable Police Headquarters for booking.
A sheriff’s crime scene unit was called in to document evidence, and investigators are working to pull the dealership’s security footage.
