BPD: Man pulled gun on woman during bar fight…
HYANNIS – A West Yarmouth man allegedly drew his pistol in anger twice at Embargo early this morning.
At about 12:45am, Barnstable squad cars rushed to the Embargo Restaurant and Bar after a man reportedly drew his pistol on a female patron and then later on security.
The 911 caller stated there was an altercation in the bar and someone pulled out a gun… and held it in a threatening manner.
Several Barnstable police officers responded immediately and were directed to a male arguing with security out on the patio area.
Patrolman Keith Sexton quickly jumped the railing onto the raised patio and detained the suspect. Sexton then removed a loaded .380 Walther PPK/S pistol from the man’s waistband.
The suspect was identified as Christopher Desimone, age 44, of West Yarmouth.
Patrolman Spencer Jackson interviewed several witnesses and victims inside the bar. Reportedly Desimone was involved in an altercation with a female not known to him when he drew his pistol and pointed it at her. According to witnesses, he then put the gun away and was escorted outside by security personnel.
Once outside Desimone reportedly drew the pistol again and pointed it at one of the security officers… and then “threatened to assassinate him” according to a BPD press release.
Desimone was arrested and transported to Barnstable Police Headquarters for booking. He was charged with two counts of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (“to wit firearm”), Carrying a Loaded Firearm While Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Commission of a Felony While Armed.
Desimone is being held on $1,000.00 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Monday morning.
HN Note: It is still uncertain whether or not Desimone is actually an agent on “Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” HN will provide updates from MI6 as they become available.
Press details, mugshot, and photo of pistol provided the BPD… “Threatened to assassinate security… with ‘James Bond’ Walther PPK” inserted by HN.
