UPDATE 8:20pm — According to Barnstable Police sources, Mark Hinckley, age 28, of Centerville is being charged with OUI Liquor, Operating to Endanger, and marked lane violations. Eversource Energy and police are still on scene repairing the pole at the time of this report… South Main Street from the intersection at Four Seas Ice Cream all the way to Bay Lane in Centerville is expected to be closed to through traffic until about 3:00am…
CENTERVILLE – [DEVELOPING] A man was arrested this afternoon after he crashed his pickup truck through a utility pole, closing down South Main Street until the scene could be cleared…
At about 3:55pm, a Barnstable Police Officer was returning from working a detail in the area when he came across what was described as a serious accident.
Surprisingly the driver appeared to have escaped the accident without serious injuries…
Sources report he will be charged with OUI…
